Bart Simpson, Autobot Pills Not Ecstasy At All

A new drug cocktail containing chemicals that closely mimic the effects of ecstasy has appeared. The Idaho State Police Forensics Lab has recently confirmed that their most recent submission of finely crafted and well pressed ecstasy pills contained no MDMA, the main ingredient in E pills and until now the revered source of the experience.
These seized pills that look more like chewable children’s vitamins shaped like the head of Bart Simpson or the face of an Autobot from Transformers are packing a different kind of punch. Two types of mixtures were found in the pills; one batch contains a blend of N-benzylpiperazine (BZP) with 13-trifluouromethylphenylpiperazine (TFMPP) along with 1,4 dibenzylpiperazine and caffeine, the other blend contained only the BZP and TFMPP with some caffeine for good measure.
Although first synthesized in 1944 BZP has been considered a schedule 1 controlled substance since 2004 due to its amphetamine like boosts in the nervous system. TFMPP and the other found chemical which has not been studied by the DEA are not illegal. If the chemists aren’t simply passing off BZP as ecstasy then the blend must be necessary to get something akin to the much loved rush of what so many have come to expect.
One women in Zurich died from a reported overdose of MDMA mixed with BZP but a surplus of information regarding the new pills effects are awaiting their place in the drug pantheon.
