Stevie Wonder dropped by Coda last night

Stevie Wonder played at my bar last night …

I went to my second Jazz Mafia show at the new live music venue Coda on Mission and 14th here in San Francisco and we ended up arriving just in time to see Supertaster.

It was a great show, the Jazz Mafia crew definitely knows how to have a good time, but the kicker was when Stevie Wonder showed up and sat on a couch next to the one I was on.

I thought, ‘Oh it’s nice they’re helping that blind man find a seat. ... Hmm, he has a really cute girl on his arm … and they’re bringing him big bottles of champagne … and his dreads look a lot like Stevie Wonder. ... holy shit, that IS Stevie Wonder.”

When I came back from the restroom, he was up on stage singing a few numbers. How dope is that?

    I was there too (it was my birthday). Definitely one of the most amazing nights of my life. Just unreal.
