Michael Pollan: Cannabis growers are 'the best gardeners of my generation'

Pollan says in his new documentary The Botany of Desire – a two-hour PBS adaptation of his hit book exploring man’s relationship to plants via the apple, the tulip, the potato, of course the doja.
According to the SF Chronicle, PBS initially denied funding the leading ecologist and thinker from Berkeley because:the film dared to even mention cannabis. What a bunch of assholes. Pollan ended up using a National Science Foundation grant to shoot the pot segment. Thanks, NSF!
Premiering tonight on KQED (channel 9 on comcast) at 8 p.m. Tivo that ish! [San Francisco Chronicle]
