the dope report

Get Busy Committee savages the boutique rap market

First the L.A. kids released a dope 2GB USB album that looked like a little Uzi. Sold out 1,200 of those bastards. Now the supergroup wants to press up 500 limited, numbered picture disc 12” vinyl records. Since it’ll cost $3,218.18 the crew comprised of Snoop/Clipse/Game-producer Scoop Deville, Ryu & Apathy offered Tuesday to write a song about the purchaser of a custom, $1,000 vinyl album which will be delivered in a platinum plaque. Yeah, that sold in under 24 hours too. Cheers, to rapping as innovative as its wrapping. (Platinum album photo after the jump.) [Get Busy Committee]
