Speaking of which, modern-day master Sam Raimi returns to the horror/comedy genre that made the Evil Dead series so awesome. With a 92% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes, you can’t go wrong.

Wayne Coyne and gang deliver yet another worthy head-trip experience.

The great grandaddy of the Hieroglyphics crew, Del submits further proof that he’s one of hip-hop’s best emcees. A team-up with Tame One from the classic Artifacts crew makes this a formidable lyrical duo.
TDR video of the day: Lambo - Computer Bagel
Great Scott! Behold the most amazing song about Jewish donuts ever. This auto-tuned ode to delicious bagels comes from our favorite record label Stones Throw, and is the first single released from their awesomely titled new imprint, Flux Capacitor Records. Don’t forget the cream cheese and lox.
TDR video of the day: Basement Jaxx - Scars
Florae and Faunae have never made me trip balls this hard. Yet another dope beat and video from the electronic UK duo. [Basement Jaxx]
TDR video of the day: Depeche Mode - Hole to Feed
I don’t want to start any blasphemous rumors, but I think that God would even have to participate in this epidemic of lurid tongue kissing. [Depeche Mode]
The Girlfriend Experience, Ghostface, Dethklok: New Release Tuesday 9/29

- The Girlfriend Experience
If you’re familiar with your pornography, you know Sasha Grey is the hottest, kinkiest starlet out there. If you aren’t depraved enough to watch porn, the fuck are you doing on our site? Director Steven Soderbergh casted her to be in this experimental drama film about a high-end Manhattan call girl. Expect a lot less anal than you usually get from Sasha, though.
- The Wizard of Oz 70th Anniversary Edition
Quite possibly the trippiest movie about a girl’s first period ever. This classic film also comes in an Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray set.
- Away We Go
A romantic roadtrip comedy written by mega-genius Dave Eggers and directed by American Beauty’s Sam Mendes. A must for pretentious film nerds.
- Karen O and the Kids – Where The Wild Things Are Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Let’s hope this infectiously fun soundtrack is just a precursor to how awesome Spike Jonze’s adaptation of the children’s book classic is going to be.
- Ghostface Killah – Ghostdini the Wizard of Poetry
When was the last time you heard a Ghostface album you didn’t like? Never ever.
- Dethklok – Dethalbum II
More brutality from the popular Adult Swim show Metalocalypse. This is metal in its most evil, hilarious form. A deluxe edition also comes with extra songs and a DVD for your headbanging delight.
Mike Patton, Kid Koala 'Battle...' with The Slew Live in SF

Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton joined the preeminent DJ Kid Koala onstage in San Francisco last night for the final, howling song of Koala’s new hard rock project The Slew. (Full review after the jump.)
TDR video of the day: Portugal. The Man - "Do You"
A rockin’ tune paired with an ultra trippy video concept. You’re gonna need some serious drugs for this one. Also check out Portugal. The Man’s latest release, The Satanic Satanist, for more awesomeness.
